Agilus is recruiting for a Procurement Advisor in the Oil and Gas Sector in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Total rewards: $20.00 - $40.00 hourly 6 Months of contract position Onsite Position A typical day: Creates purchase orders. Maintains and manages entire lifecycle of purchase orders and other basic procurement documentation. Assists with procurement process issues as required and escalates unresolved procurement issues to more Senior Procurement Coordinators and Specialists. Meets the demands of multiple clients including external stakeholders, Ensures all procurement activities are aligned with the purchasing strategy and procurement plan. Identifies approved suppliers to address requirements, Creates individual annual objectives, measures, and performance targets aligned with the overall Procurement Team and the Supply Chain Management (SCM) functions' performance targets. Applies a mix of general Supply Operations concepts and processes and articulates key terminology in daily work. Applies general knowledge of ERP modules and processes in daily work, Problems dealt with are of limited complexity and are guided by policies and procedures. Makes decisions within established guidelines, Determines course of action as per procedural guidelines and contracts. Participates in the development of priorities to guide decisions. Deals with problems which are of limited complexity and guided by policies and procedures. Successful candidates will have: Minimum 1 - 3+ years in a Supply Chain or a Procurement related role. Post-secondary Business or Supply Chain background preferred. Experience in Oil and Gas industry preferred. Some roles will require a working knowledge of written and verbal French. Represents a continuation of learning and development within the various phases of Supply Chain Management (SCM). Displays a general knowledge of Supply Chain Management (SCM) practices, procedures and tools. Understands the importance of communication skills and effective interaction with partners and suppliers. Demonstrates skills in ERP and an understanding of Planning, Scheduling and Coordinating practices, while acquiring a broadening understanding and awareness of related Supply Chain competencies.
