Summary of responsibilities:
The General Manager, Program Operations is responsible for providing strategic guidance and national coordination on the development and deployment of effective, efficient, and consistent screening operations in CATSA’s four (4) administrative regions. The General Manager, Program Operations is also responsible for the development of CATSA’s Standard Operating Procedures and the management of CATSA’s regulatory affairs and liaison functions, as well as CATSA’s operational oversight and training delivery programs. The General Manager, Program Operations ensures that strong and productive relationships are developed and maintained with CATSA colleagues and with regulatory, policy and security partners across Canada. The General Manager, Program Operations performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
Successful completion of a university degree in Business Administration, or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience in areas such as high value contract administration, logistics and transport, security, or other highly regulated business environments.
A minimum of five (5) years of management experience, including managing a multi-disciplinary team and providing leadership.
Experience managing crises responses and contingency plans; and
Experience providing advisory services and recommendations to senior management.

Valuable skills include:
Knowledge of the aviation industry and related regulatory and security issues.
Exposure to unionized work environments.
Knowledge of CATSA’s mandate and relevant legislation impacting CATSA.
Knowledge of project management principles.
Specific work requirements
Language Profile: CBCC;
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
