Agilus is recruiting for a Asset Administrator in the Insolvency Sector in North York, ON, Ontario.
This is a high-trust role central to insolvency asset administration. You will ensure assets are accurately disclosed and managed in strict compliance with legal and regulatory standards. As a primary liaison between trustees, third parties, and bankrupt individuals, you will maintain file integrity from intake to discharge. A typical day:
Review Statements of Affairs and supporting documentation to ensure all asset disclosures are complete, accurate, and properly supported
Correspond with bankrupt individuals to obtain outstanding asset details, clarify dispositions, and investigate any undisclosed assets
Communicate with third parties (financial institutions, employers, insurers) to confirm asset ownership, value, and realization status
Prepare and manage secured claims, including Form 76 requests, proofs of security, and release documentation
Track asset realization and repurchase arrangements, including payment schedules, diarization, and confirmation of receipts
Maintain complete and up-to-date records in the case management system, ensuring all asset fields and documentation are accurately recorded
Conduct file reviews for discharge, including preparation of Trustee Section 170 Reports, mediation documentation, and OSB correspondence
Support compliance and audit readiness by preparing summaries, monitoring deadlines, and coordinating with internal departments on outstanding matters
Successful candidates will have:
Minimum 3 years of experience in insolvency asset administration and/or preparation of Trustee S.170 Reports
Strong working knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and OSB compliance requirements
Proven experience handling secured assets, asset realizations, and repurchases
Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Strong written communication and professional follow-up skills
Excellent organization, diary management, and deadline control
Comfort handling sensitive financial and legal information
Experience with Ascend or similar case management systems preferred
