Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid, 1 day on-site) or can be 100% remote for the right candidate.

Duration: 2-year fixed-term contract

About the Opportunity
Our client, a large and complex public sector organization, is seeking a Solution Architect to support the design and evolution of a custom-built client service portal. This role sits within a collaborative product team environment, focused on long-term innovation rather than short-term project delivery. You will play a key role in shaping how users interact with digital services through a secure, modern portal experience built on Microsoft technologies.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will guide architectural decisions, influence design direction, and ensure solutions align with broader enterprise architecture strategies. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful digital transformation initiatives while partnering with teams across business and IT to deliver scalable, user-centric solutions.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll lead the architecture and design of a custom client service portal built on Power Pages
• You’ll guide and delegate development activities to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring alignment with architectural standards
• You’ll contribute to enterprise architecture initiatives, supporting broader business and technology strategies
• You’ll oversee solution design across Power Platform, SharePoint, and Dynamics 365 environments
• You’ll support the adoption of cloud and hybrid solutions, ensuring seamless integration within a diverse ecosystem
• You’ll participate in architectural reviews, roadmap development, and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in solution or technical architecture within complex environments
• Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Pages, and Dynamics 365
• Experience designing end-to-end solutions, including portal architecture and secure messaging systems
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and guide technical delivery
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is considered an asset
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
