As a Security Supervisor, you will be leading a team of guards, ensuring that security operations run smoothly and providing exceptional customer service. You will work with people from all shifts in a dynamic environment.

  • Permanent position: 12hr shifts / 4 days on, 3 days off / 3 days on, 4 days off with weekly rotation of days and overnights (5am-5pm/5pm-5am)

Responsibilities for Security Supervisor

  • Lead a team of on-site security guards
  • Plan, direct and ensure the smooth running of operations at the client's site 
  • Develop and implement procedures and policies for security operations 
  • Maintain protection systems for fire, theft and other disasters 
  • Ensure the availability of emergency equipment 
  • Make suggestions to improve and optimize the security service 
  • Manage and maintain the daily schedule of the team
  • Ensure all security guards follow and stay updated on instructions
  • Issue and manage access cards
  • Complete daily reports and incident reports
  • All other related duties

Qualifications for Security Supervisor

  • Valid BC Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid Level 1 (OFA1)
  • Advanced Security Training (AST)
  • Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years
  • High school diploma or equivalent (proof of education required)
  • Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • At least 1 year of experience in a security role
  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
