Calian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a short-term clinical support role providing health services to Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members in support of training operations.
This position is focused on delivering sick parade services during a Mass Training Event (MTE) at Connaught Ranges, supporting 180+ Combat Medic Students (CMD) (not concurrent) between 01 May and 31 August 2026. The role supports CAF training by ensuring timely assessment, treatment, and return-to-training recommendations for members experiencing illness or minor injury.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NP with experience in urgent care, occupational health, or autonomous practice who is interested in a defined, operationally focused contract within a military training environment.
Hours of work will vary for this short term task. The incumbent may be required for a few hours in the morning (0730 – 9 or 10) from Monday to Friday. There will be some on call/call back duties in the evenings and weekends. The hope is to fill this for early May 2026 and the contract will go until the end of August.
