Empower Business Success as a Senior Accountant with Agilus Corporate Services Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Accountant in the Staffing Services Sector in a hybrid work environment in Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and insightful reporting that supports informed business decisions. This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings both technical strength and sound judgment to the Finance team. What's in it for you: Compensation model is base salary plus Agilus Team Bonus 3 weeks’ Vacation, Wellness days and a Community day Robust flexible benefits program with access to mental health care provider program Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model that supports both in-office collaboration and remote productivity Comprehensive onboarding program supported by early and easy access to the expansive Agilus community network How you will make an impact: Own month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis Prepare accurate financial statements and internal and external financial reports; Maintain and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and company policies Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive business insights Contribute to audit preparation, internal reviews, and documentation requirements Partner with internal stakeholders to improve financial processes and data integrity Support ad hoc financial projects and reporting requests as business needs evolve Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections activities as required Successful candidates will have: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Progress toward CPA designation 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, including extensive audit exposure Strong knowledge of GAAP, with IFRS experience considered an asset Proven experience using Power BI and SQL to create reports and analyze financial data French-English bilingual communication skills (written and verbal) Strong organizational and time-management abilities in deadline-driven environments Sound judgment, professionalism, and a high level of integrity This posting is for an active opening.
