Manulife

Toronto, Ontario

Salary: $59,700.00 CAD - $99,500.00 CAD

The Data & Reporting Analyst role supports the integrity, consistency, and usability of operational data and reporting across the business unit. This position focuses on maintaining high-quality data, supporting KPI governance, contributing to the data dictionary, and developing standardized Power BI dashboards and reports.

The role works closely with Workforce Management, Data Governance (CSDO), and business partners to ensure reporting outputs are accurate, aligned to standards, and fit for decision-making. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role rather than a strategy ownership position.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support data integrity and consistency across workforce, productivity, and operational reporting.

  • Assist in maintaining and documenting KPI definitions, calculation logic, and usage within the data dictionary.

  • Support KPI governance by ensuring metrics are used consistently across reports (e.g., WFM, Productivity, MOR).

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance standardized Power BI dashboards and reports.

  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accurate reporting outputs.

  • Support data mapping efforts (e.g., Work Types, Statuses, dimensions) in collaboration with WFM and Data Governance teams.

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into clear reporting solutions.

  • Support ongoing reporting refreshes, enhancements, and issue resolution.

  • Assist with documentation of reporting standards, data sources, and business logic.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.

  • Good experience with Power BI (dashboard development, visuals, basic DAX).

  • Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, validation, and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of data quality concepts, KPI definitions, and reporting standards.

  • Experience working with structured datasets (facts/dimensions).

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data issues and inconsistencies.

  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience supporting Workforce Management, operational reporting, or productivity analytics.

  • Exposure to data governance practices and data dictionaries.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred).

  • Experience working with standardized or enterprise reporting frameworks.

  • Knowledge of Agile or structured delivery environments.

When you join our team:

  • We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.

  • We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.

  • As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.
