Salary: From $80000 to $95000 per Year

Location: Montreal, QC, Hybrid (1-2 days on-site)
Language: Strong written and spoken English required, French is an asset
Duration: Permanent

About the Opportunity
Our client in the enterprise software space is undergoing a major transformation, evolving a live, customer-facing platform while building a modern, AI-enabled ERP solution from the ground up. This is an opportunity to join a team where quality is embedded into every stage of development, not treated as a final checkpoint, and where your voice will directly influence how products are designed and delivered.

Working closely with engineers, architects, and leadership, you will play a key role in shaping a quality-first culture. You will be part of a collaborative delivery team that values shared accountability, continuous improvement, and forward-thinking approaches to testing, including the integration of AI-driven tools and practices.

What’s In It for You
• A collaborative, engineering-first culture where quality is a shared responsibility
• Exposure to modern technologies, including AI-enabled development tools and cloud-native platforms
• The opportunity to influence how quality engineering is built from the ground up
• A workplace that values innovation, continuous learning, and thoughtful problem-solving

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll design and build automated test frameworks using modern tools like TypeScript and Playwright to support end-to-end quality
• You’ll integrate AI-driven tooling to accelerate test coverage, data generation, and feedback cycles
• You’ll contribute to API reliability by implementing contract and integration testing strategies
• You’ll participate in design and architecture discussions, ensuring testability is built in from the start
• You’ll optimize CI/CD pipelines, improving reliability and speed across testing workflows
• You’ll monitor test performance, identifying gaps, flakiness, and opportunities for improvement

Skills and Qualifications
• 2–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering or SDET roles with hands-on automation experience
• Strong automation experience (Playwright preferred)

• Strong programming skills in TypeScript or similar languages within modern development environments
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Pact, or test container solutions
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and containerization tools
• Exposure to or strong interest in AI-driven testing tools and methodologies, such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, TestSprite, Playwright MCP
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

Note from the Hiring Manager
We’re looking for someone who sees quality as part of engineering, not something that happens after. If you enjoy asking the right questions early and building systems that help teams move faster with confidence, you’ll thrive here.
