Who we are looking for:

Are you a strategic, collaborative, and results-oriented thought leader in Sports & Entertainment? Do you have experience building world-class brands and working with integrated agency teams across creative, media and production? Join our Partnerships team as Director, Partnership Marketing. In this role, you’ll lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive excellence in brand and business outcomes for our partnerships portfolio, including NHL, Toronto Blue Jays, Live Nation, TIFF and other leading properties and talent. You’ll work cross-functionally across our internal teams and leadership and external property and agency partners to unlock growth opportunities, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and maximize ROI.

 

What you will do:

  • Lead the strategy and oversee the execution of all partner and sponsorship marketing initiatives, including integrated campaigns, promotions, experiential activations, and go‑to‑market programs.
  • Develop and manage strategic sponsorship and partnership ecosystems, maximizing brand and business impact, audience reach, and commercial value across owned, earned, and paid channels.
  • Build and manage relationships with key external agency, sponsorship, and property partners (e.g., sports, entertainment, media, and cultural partners), identifying opportunities to co‑create value and ensuring alignment with brand
  • standards and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Brand, Communications, Media, Product, Legal, Finance) to deliver fully integrated marketing programs that leverage partnerships and sponsorships to support business goals.
  • Develop strategic marketing plans for new and existing partnerships and sponsorships, including launch strategies, content development, experiential executions, and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Monitor campaign, sponsorship, and partner performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize ROI, consumer engagement, and long‑term partner value.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, agency relationships, and sponsorship assets to ensure efficient, compliant, and effective delivery.
  • Represent the partnership and sponsorship marketing function in cross‑functional forums and contribute to strategic planning, executive reporting, and long‑range brand growth discussions.

 

What you bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with a strong focus on partnership marketing, sponsorship marketing, brand storytelling, and integrated media, ideally within sports, entertainment, or consumer brands.
  • Proven success leading high‑impact sponsorship and partnership programs, including strategy, negotiation support, activation strategy, and cross‑channel execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, integrated marketing campaigns that deliver measurable business and brand outcomes.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills, with experience working with external partners, rights holders, agencies, and internal senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; MBA considered an asset.
