Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support both FP&A and Finance Operations within a collaborative, high‑performing finance team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting, while supporting the month‑end close process and periodic forecasting activities.
The Senior Financial Analyst works closely with internal finance partners, cross‑functional stakeholders across the organization, and external auditors. In addition, the role supports selected activities for the Manager, Finance Operations, providing meaningful exposure to core finance processes, increased responsibility, and strong opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead area‑level financial planning and analysis, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long‑range planning, in close partnership with business stakeholders.
- Analyze monthly financial performance versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying key drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver management reporting packages, dashboards, and KPIs, providing clear and actionable insights to support strategic decision‑making.
- Conduct ad‑hoc financial analysis, scenario modeling, and profitability assessments to support business initiatives and investments.
- Partner with operational teams to understand cost drivers, productivity metrics, and margin performance, translating business activity into financial impact.
Month‑End Close & SAP Financial Reporting
- Play a key role in the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close process within SAP S/4HANA, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial results.
- Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with accounting policies and ICFR requirements.
- Perform balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with accounting.
- Ensure financial data integrity within SAP, including the accurate use of GL accounts, cost centers, and profit centers.
- Coordinate with Accounting and shared services teams to meet close timelines and support internal and external reporting requirements.
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Monitoring
- Monitor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable balances to ensure timely processing, accurate posting, and proper classification.
- Review aging reports, identify past‑due items, and work with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues impacting cash flow and working capital.
- Analyze trends in payables, receivables, and cash conversion metrics, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Support the month‑end close by ensuring AP and AR subledger activity is complete, accurate, and reconciled to the general ledger.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to strengthen controls, reporting quality, and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
Education
- CPA or CPA (in progress) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Data Analysis
Experience
- 6+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands‑on experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred)
