Founded in 1969, the Service Income Security Insurance Plan (SISIP) was established to provide long-term disability and life insurance protection to members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and their families.
Today, SISIP fulfills CFMWS’s financial wellness mandate by helping CAF members and families strengthen financial health, resilience, and operational readiness through insurance, financial planning, investment solutions, credit counselling and a CAF financial education program.
SISIP’s purpose is to protect, support, and strengthen the CAF community throughout the military journey and beyond, providing objective, tailored guidance supported by a commission-free compensation approach that reinforces member-first advice.
As a CFMWS social enterprise, SISIP generates revenue and reinvests a portion of profits to fund morale and welfare programs, including annual dividends to Canadian Forces Bases and Wings. SISIP serves members through digital and in-person channels, with 170 professionals in 25 offices across CAF communities nationwide, plus a national office in Ottawa.
The Vice President, Wealth Management is an executive role accountable for the national wealth management strategy and annual business plan for SISIP Financial. Leading a national team of advisors and client service professionals, the role sets revenue and service objectives, drives performance through KPIs and analytics, and builds high-performance sales and client experience culture.
The Vice President contributes to the wealth management product and service roadmap, the digital transformation roadmap, and ensures adoption of priority change initiatives including digital modernization, omni-channel delivery, and emerging tools and technologies (including AI).
The role provides financial stewardship and ensures sound governance, risk management, and compliance with applicable policies, legislation, and regulatory requirements, while acting as a trusted advisor and representing SISIP in strategic discussions and negotiations.
Education
Master’s and/or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field, AND 15 years of progressive senior management experience in wealth management, including life and disability insurance.

Develop and execute the national sales strategy and annual business plan, aligned to SISIP’s strategic priorities, financial targets, and member outcomes.
Collaborates on the wealth management product and service roadmap (insurance, investments, financial planning, and credit counselling); recommend enhancements based on market insights, member needs, and partner capabilities.
Build and deepen strategic relationships with CAF/DND stakeholders and external partners (e.g., Manulife, IA Wealth, BMO, Canada Life) to optimize member value, service levels, and commercial performance.
Provide executive leadership to advisory sales and client service teams; set revenue, service, and productivity goals; and ensure performance is measured, reviewed, and improved against agreed KPIs.
Build a high-performance culture through coaching, capability development, and disciplined sales management; establish standards for advisor training, practice management, and client experience delivery.
Collaborate on the digital transformation roadmap and lead transformational change initiatives, including digital modernization, omni-channel delivery, and adoption of emerging tools and technologies (including AI), to improve advisor productivity and enhance client and employee experiences.
Use business intelligence, analytics, and management reporting to monitor results, forecast performance, and drive timely corrective actions to achieve business and financial outcomes.
Provide financial stewardship for the portfolio, including budgeting, resource allocation, and authorization of expenditures, ensuring prudent controls and sound decision-making.
Ensure compliance with CFMWS policies and applicable federal/provincial legislation, regulatory requirements, and licensing standards for financial services; maintain effective controls and oversight practices.
Contribute to governance through committee participation and leadership of risk and accountability frameworks, ensuring issues are escalated, decisions documented, and actions executed.

This position is based in Ottawa with flexibility to work from SISIP’s national office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
