We’re expanding Stantec’s Program Management - Power team throughout North America for Mid to Senior and Principal level positions. Programs and projects include High-voltage Transmission, Distribution, and Power Generation sectors.

Candidates should have at least 5 plus years of experience managing complex programs and/or projects within Program Management, Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, EPCM, and/or EPC type contracts. We are considering candidates that have a thorough understanding of all Program Management, Engineering, Procurement, Project Services, and Construction Management related activities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop & execute overall Program Management Plans

  • Develop & execute overall Program Governance plans

  • Develop & execute Program Communication Plans

  • Oversee all regulatory and integration aspects

  • Oversee all permitting and environmental aspects

  • Oversee the engineering phase of all program components alongside the Engineering Manager

  • Oversee the procurement requirements of the program alongside the Procurement Manager

  • Oversee and manage all Project Services including but not limited to project controls & scheduling, cost management, risk management, and document management

  • Oversee all construction requirements of programs alongside the Construction Manager

  • Integrate all disciplines and departments of programs to develop a collaborative culture

  • Develop strong relationships with the client to ensure communication is provided to all program team members

  • Present multiple reports to the client and Stantec management throughout the life cycle programs

  • Integrate with all external project stakeholders as required including but not limited to government, utility providers, and the public

  • Drive the successful delivery of all aspects of programs ranging from $100M+ to multi billion dollars

Your Capabilities & Experience

  • Experience as a Project Director, Program Manager and/or Project Manager in Power Delivery and/or Power Generation sectors

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills

  • Exceptional organization and program strategy skills

  • Experience in overseeing the engineering portion of similar type projects

  • Experience in overseeing the procurement portion of similar type projects

  • Experience in managing all project services of similar type projects (i.e. project controls & scheduling, cost management, risk management, and document control)

  • Experience in highly fast paced environments and bringing multiple departments and personnel together to develop a collaborative and integrative team culture

  • Understanding cash flow projections and aligning monthly expenditures to meet budget requirements

  • Executing presentations for large amounts of stakeholders including clients, personnel, management, public, etc.

Education and Credentials

  • Minimum of 5 years of Program Management type experience

  • Program and/or Project Management Professional (PgMP/PMP) or certification is considered an asset

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in one of Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Project Management from an accredited institution is considered an asset

  • Certified Scrum Master is considered an asset

  • PMI Risk Management Professional or similar is considered an asset

Location

  • Programs and Projects can be across North America or in specific locations

  • This position can be located out of any of Stantec's North American offices, with a remote option for candidates not located near a Stantec office.

Pay Range:

• Locations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario-$147,600.00 - $221,300.00 Annually

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
