Traffic Signal Installation & Field Programs is responsible for Traffic Signal assembly, installation, modification and maintenance, Traffic Control Room management of data and video equipment and data communications, Signal Timing engineering, Camera assembly, installation, modification and maintenance, and Re-lamping management.
You are responsible for leading crews in the assembly, installation, repair, removal and maintenance of traffic control devices and associated electrical equipment within the City of Ottawa.
Completion of Electrician-Maintenance & Construction apprenticeship program of 9000 hours
Minimum of 7 years of related experience in the installation and maintenance of a variety of electrical equipment, including transformers and controllers, motors, switchgear, etc. including eighteen months of experience working with traffic control devices, and including minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
