About the Opportunity
Our client, a fast-paced organization within the services sector, is seeking a Payroll Administrator to support a busy payroll and benefits function during a critical period. You will play a key role in ensuring payroll data is processed accurately and efficiently for a large, multi-provincial workforce.
Working closely with an experienced Payroll and Benefits Manager, you will help reduce operational pressure by handling essential data entry and payroll support tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their payroll career to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll support payroll processing by reviewing timesheets and ensuring accuracy and approvals are in place
• You’ll enter and maintain employee data across payroll and internal systems, ensuring records are current and complete
• You’ll input payroll-related information from source documents into spreadsheets and systems with a high degree of accuracy
• You’ll assist with payroll reconciliations, remittances, and reporting as needed
• You’ll respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders in a timely manner
• You’ll help maintain organized payroll documentation through proper filing and recordkeeping
Skills and Qualifications
• 1+ year of payroll or related administrative experience, ideally supporting payroll functions
• PCP certification or in progress is considered an asset
• Strong MS Excel skills with strong data entry accuracy
• Familiarity with payroll systems such as Payworks or similar platforms is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
