The Portfolio Security Manager (PSM) acts as the primary liaison between GardaWorld and client management, overseeing security operations across three connected sites. This role ensures the effective delivery of security services, compliance with policies, and continuous improvement of safety programs. The PSM will report directly to the Client Management/ GardaWorld Account Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily security operations, staffing coordination, and service performance
  • Manage fire, life safety, and emergency response programs
  • Supervise physical security systems (CCTV, access control, keys/locks)
  • Ensure accurate incident reporting, investigations, and risk analysis
  • Lead and support contract security personnel, including training and performance management
  • Monitor service delivery, vendor performance, and KPI compliance
  • Support planning, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain records, reporting, and administrative documentation
  • Provide operational and performance reporting data to support client decision‑making.
  • Support risk assessments and compliance reviews.
  • Act as the main point of contact for client stakeholders and escalate critical issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Client Senior Security Manager and the GardaWorld Account Manager.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in security operations, with supervisory or management responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of physical security systems (CCTV, access control, key management)
  • Experience in fire/life safety and emergency response programs
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and handle escalations
  • Experience with incident reporting, investigations, and risk assessment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and security reporting systems
  • Valid Alberta Security License
