About the Opportunity
Our client, a mission-driven organization in the non-profit sector, is seeking a passionate French Interpreter to support a series of national webinars focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion within the sports community. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful conversations that drive inclusivity and accessibility across Canada.
In this role, you will work closely with a webinar facilitator and presenter to ensure all participants can fully engage in the discussion. Your work will directly support equitable access to content, helping create a more inclusive and connected experience for a diverse audience of 75 to 100 attendees.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll provide live French interpretation during webinars, translating spoken content in real time via a separate chat channel
• You’ll ensure translations are accurate and reflect the tone and intent of the original message
• You’ll collaborate with the webinar facilitator to maintain clarity and flow of communication
• You’ll review presentation materials in advance to prepare for each session
Skills and Qualifications
• 1 to 3 years of experience in live interpretation, ideally in virtual or webinar settings
• Fluency in both English and French, with exceptional written communication skills in French
• Experience using Zoom or similar virtual platforms
• Strong understanding of DEI principles, with awareness of LGBTQ+ inclusion
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to translate nuanced conversations accurately
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a live environment
