As an Inside Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in translating complex customer requirements into tailored technical solutions that power critical infrastructure and operations.

Working closely with Sales, Engineering, and internal stakeholders, you will help shape customized product offerings that meet both technical and commercial needs. This role offers a unique blend of engineering analysis, client interaction, and problem-solving, making a direct impact on project success and customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll interpret customer specifications and power requirements to define technical and commercial needs
  • In this role, you’ll analyze drawings and technical data to recommend appropriate product solutions
  • You’ll develop cost models and determine pricing and lead times for standard and custom equipment
  • You’ll collaborate with Engineering and customers to design tailored solutions for unique applications
  • You’ll build strong relationships with Sales and internal teams to support project success
  • You’ll communicate requirements clearly to manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure alignment

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in application engineering, inside sales, or a related role within industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technologist diploma with relevant experience
  • Strong technical understanding, ideally with exposure to power engineering concepts
  • Proficiency with computer systems, experience with JDE or Salesforce is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with electrical switchgear, reclosers, or insulated switching equipment is an asset
