Agilus is recruiting for a SAGD Drilling Supervisor in the Oil and Gas Sector in Cold Lake, Alberta. The SAGD Drilling Wellsite Supervisor is accountable for the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of SAGD drilling operations. This role provides on-site leadership, overseeing daily drilling activities, contractors, and service companies while ensuring all operations align with approved drilling programs, regulatory requirements, and company standards. Total rewards: $120.00 hourly $1,450/day all inclusive rate. Camp provided in Cold Lake. 14 days on / 7 days off (14/14 when full team of 4). Indefinite contract (long-term; potential transition to permanent) A typical day: Lead and enforce a strong safety and environmental culture at the wellsite. Supervise all phases of SAGD drilling operations, including: Surface holes, curve sections, laterals, multi-well pad drilling. Ensure wells are drilled in accordance with approved drilling programs, design tolerances, and operational best practices. Coordinate and manage drilling contractors and third-party service providers. Monitor operational performance, drilling efficiency, costs, and non-productive time (NPT). Identify risks, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement. Review, validate, and submit accurate daily drilling reports. Ensure full compliance with AER regulations, Operator policies, and industry standards. Successful candidates will have: 5+ years of drilling experience, with a strong focus on SAGD wells. Previous experience as a Wellsite Supervisor or Senior Drilling Foreman. Proven knowledge of: SAGD and directional drilling operations, oil sands drilling practices, rig operations and service coordination. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Solid understanding of Alberta regulatory requirements and wellsite compliance. This posting is for an active opening.
