Location: London, ON, Hybrid (1–2 days onsite per week)
Language: English, strong written and verbal communication required
Duration: 6-month contract

About the Opportunity

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of high-volume financial transactions that directly contribute to essential services.

You will be part of a collaborative finance team that values consistency, accountability, and teamwork. Working closely with fellow AP team members, a Senior Analyst, and leadership, you will help maintain smooth financial operations during a critical period that includes year-end and audit support.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll manage a high volume of accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices
• In this role, you’ll input and validate financial data within an ERP system, supporting month-end deadlines
• You’ll review and compare invoices, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues proactively
• You’ll process employee expense reimbursements on a bi-monthly schedule
• You’ll prepare journal entries and accruals to support month-end activities
• You’ll assist with audit preparation by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries
• You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders, responding to questions from staff and external partners

Skills and Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable or transactional accounting role
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data extraction
• Experience working with an ERP system, Oracle is considered a strong asset
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
