About the Opportunity

Altis Recruitment is partnering with a growing organization in the real estate sector to hire a Senior Accounting Clerk to support a high-volume, multi-entity finance environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting work and thrives in a fast-paced setting where accuracy and attention to detail are critical. You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity across a complex portfolio of entities.

Working closely with the Controller and a collaborative finance team, you will contribute to core accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. Your Responsibilities

• You’ll prepare and post journal entries across multiple entities, supporting accurate and timely financial reporting.
• In this role, you’ll assist with month-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met with a high level of accuracy.
• You’ll perform detailed bank reconciliations across co-mingled accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• You’ll manage intercompany transactions and help maintain clean and accurate balances across entities.
• You’ll support high-volume accounts receivable activities, including adjustments, credits, and transaction processing.
• You’ll assist with HST tracking and remittances while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3 to 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in a hands-on role.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
• Experience working in multi-entity or high-volume environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems, with Yardi considered an asset.
• Knowledge of intercompany accounting and transactional workflows.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive mindset with a desire to learn and grow within a finance team.
