The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) has one exciting student opportunity from May 6th, 2026 to August 28th, 2026 within the Operations branch at CATSA Headquarters.

Student, Client Experience 
Number of Positions: 1

Term: May 6th, 2026 to August 28th, 2026 (possibility of extension)

Schedule: 30 hours per week

Location: Ottawa, HQ

Salary: $18.15 to $30.20 / hourly rate dependent on level of education.

Language Requirement: Bilingual

Summary of Responsibilities:

On behalf of the organization, the Client Experience team aims to ensure a smooth and efficient screening experience for passengers by answering their questions prior to travel. Post-travel, the Client Experience team handles passenger complaints and claims through a fair, responsive and complete review.

The duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides administrative support for the Client Experience team by triaging voicemail and submissions through CATSA’s website;
  • Assists with the drafting of written responses for public complaints, claims and inquiries in both official languages;
  • Prepares, updates and maintains electronic files;
  • Assists in the identification of trends in public inquiries and complaints to help improve current procedures and website and social media content. 

What you need to succeed:
To qualify for the position, you must have:

  • Enrolled in a college diploma or a university degree program with a specialization in communications, social sciences, journalism or in a related field;
  • Experience in customer service and/or dealing with inquiries from the general public.

Skills and abilities:

  • Strong writing and editing skills;
  • Exceptional attention to detail; 
  • Strong research skills;
  • Professional approach to work;
  • Excellent team player;
  • Working knowledge of MS Office;
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, multi-task and organize work efficiently.

To qualify and to be considered for this employment, you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
  • Be eligible to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance;
  • Be a full-time or part-time CEGEP, College or University student; and
  • Be returning to full-time or part-time studies in the next academic year.
