GardaWorld is seeking to hire a full-time Security Guard for a permanent position at our Vale – Long Harbour site. This is a unionized position where experience, qualifications, and professionalism are essential.

This is a position of trust, and all candidates must meet strict screening and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities for Security Guard

• Conduct vehicle searches as required
• Monitor and control site access and security operations
• Complete detailed and accurate reports
• Remain available and flexible for shift coverage as needed
• Stand and patrol for extended periods
• Work collaboratively with team members and site personnel
• Act as Team Lead when required, including supervising staff, making decisions, and ensuring site protocols are followed

Qualifications for Security Guard

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract (must be obtained from Motor Registration)
• High School Diploma
• Strong communication and report writing skills
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to read and write reports clearly and accurately
• Previous security experience preferred
• Completion of a recognized security course is an asset
• Be authorized to work in Canada

Mandatory Requirements

• No prior criminal convictions or history of offences
• Must obtain a Certificate of Conduct from both Court and Police
• Must be willing to undergo Drug and Alcohol testing (if selected)
• Must be able to work rotational shifts (days and nights)
