Ready to suit up as a Surveillance Security Guard

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths. 

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Schedule- Rotational shifts – Days 0700-1900. 

Location- N1L 1P4

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date truck logs to ensure proper documentation and tracking
  • Manage site access by signing in and out visitors, contractors, and drivers
  • Ensure all trucks are properly processed upon arrival and departure in accordance with site procedures
  • Provide professional customer service to drivers, visitors, and staff as needed
  • Act as a liaison between gate operations and the shipping department to support efficient workflow
  • Perform access control duties, including verifying identification and authorizing entry to secure areas
  • Monitor security systems (e.g., cameras, alarms) to detect suspicious activity or irregularities
  • Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, or potential security threats
  • Document all incidents and observations in detailed, accurate reports
  • Conduct routine foot patrols to maintain safety and security of the premises
  • Inspect and analyze security systems to identify vulnerabilities or malfunctions
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during serious incidents or critical situations

Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid security license
  • First aid certification required 
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
  • Strong proficiency with technology
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
