About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading real estate investment organization as a Director, Finance, where your work will directly shape the performance and strategy of a high-impact portfolio. Focused on growth funds and a dynamic hotel and development portfolio, you will play a central role in delivering financial insights that influence executive decision-making.

Working closely with senior leadership, asset management, and FP&A, you will be a trusted advisor and visible leader across the business. This is a highly collaborative and forward-facing role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys translating complex financial data into meaningful, strategic narratives.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead the delivery and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for a portfolio of real estate funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ASPE
  • You’ll oversee budgeting, forecasting, and liquidity analysis, providing insight into acquisitions, dispositions, and overall fund performance
  • You’ll manage the preparation of board reporting materials, including presenting financial insights to senior leadership
  • You’ll act as a key liaison for audits, lender reporting, and investor communications
  • You’ll mentor and develop a team, while also reviewing and contributing to their work to ensure quality and consistency
  • You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A and asset management teams, applying a strategic lens to validate and interpret financial data

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, ideally within real estate or asset management
  • CPA designation required, with a degree in finance, accounting, or business
  • Strong financial reporting expertise, with knowledge of ASPE
  • Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess and challenge financial outputs
