Summary

The Product and Sales Strategy Trainer is responsible for developing and elevating the performance of sales teams by delivering strategic, skills‑based, and product‑driven training. This role blends sales enablement, instructional design, product expertise, and strategic planning.

The Trainer will design and deliver programs that strengthen sales capability, deepen product knowledge, and reinforce the behaviours needed to accelerate revenue growth. This includes creating tailored learning paths for different sales roles, leveraging data‑driven insights, and equipping teams with the tools, confidence, and strategic thinking required to win in a competitive marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Capability Development
•    Facilitate training for small and large groups (Face to Face, vILT, blended learning)
•    Build and deliver skills based learning such as: 
o    Strategic selling
o    Value based conversations
o    Objection handling
o    Pipeline and territory management
o    Coach teams on behaviours that differentiate high performing sellers
•    Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content 
Product & Market Readiness
•    Develop product/sales focused training that helps sales teams clearly communicate value propositions 
•    Translate complex product information into practical, sales friendly messaging, playbooks, and scenarios 
•    Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales Leaders to ensure training aligns with go to market priorities

Content Creation & Instructional Design
•    Create engaging learning activities, sales simulations, role plays, and scenario based practice
•    Collaborate closely with Sales Enablement leads, Sales teams, Product, Marketing, and Operations to ensure training content is aligned, relevant, and supports cross functional go to market priorities
•    Build multimedia content (audio, video, quick guides, toolkits)
•    Refresh and customize existing programs to meet the needs of different audiences

Strategic Sales Enablement
•    Conduct needs assessments to identify performance gaps and training opportunities across sales teams
•    Provide proactive sales training solutions aligned with business goals, revenue targets, and strategic priorities
•    Measure the effectiveness of all training programs and track performance improvements using defined KPIs
•    Create supporting material/media 
•    Provide regular project updates, and ensure the timely completion of deliverables 

Critical Qualifications

Proven track record in delivering sales or product training within a fast‑paced environment

  • Strong instructional design background with experience creating both digital and instructor‑led training
  • Expertise in curriculum and lesson planning
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
  • Solid understanding of media, telecom, or technology sales environments (or demonstrated ability to learn quickly)
  • Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of adult learning principles
  • Experience in a project‑based environment with tight timelines
  • University/ College (an asset)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and ability to learn proprietary systems.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and able to work independently while balancing multiple priorities
  • In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
