POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Plastics Machine Operator is essential to the production of high-quality Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) sheets, which are integral to various applications such as packaging, food containers, and consumer goods. The operator is responsible for ensuring efficient production flow, adhering to strict safety standards, troubleshooting equipment issues, and driving the achievement of production targets. This role plays a critical part in maintaining both production output and material movement within the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate plastics production machinery (sheetline/processing equipment) safely and efficiently
  • Follow all plant safety and food safety procedures at all times
  • Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as required
  • Conduct routine cleaning of equipment and work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment
  • Perform regular quality checks to ensure product meets specifications
  • Accurately complete production records and reports for tracking and quality purposes
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all production processes
  • Identify and report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality deviations
  • Support general production duties as required

 

Education / Skills / Experience:

  • Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
  • Reliable with strong attendance
  • Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with equipment
  • Physically able to stand for up to 12 hours
