The Ministry of Children and Family Services funds programs and services to support vulnerable children, youth, families, and individuals to live safely and succeed in Alberta. This includes providing services and resources to protect children and youth from abuse and neglect, and effectively address harm that has placed them in need of intervention. Mentoring and support services are available to youth transitioning into healthy, productive adults. The ministry also invests in community-based groups that support prevention and early intervention services such as Family Resource Networks, youth emergency shelters as well as programs that raise awareness and help respond to family violence, sexual violence, and abuse.

This competition will be used to fill current and future vacancies in Drayton Valley for wage, temporary and permanent Administrative Support positions as part of the Administrative Talent Pool. Part-time opportunities may be available.
Are you a detail-oriented administrative professional with a knack for finance? We are looking for Administrative Support in Drayton Valley to provide essential front-line services to our Child Intervention Practitioners. You will be the backbone of the office, managing complex financial transactions and ensuring the integrity of data for children in our care.
The Administrative Support role provides front-line services and supports within established program policies and procedures to an assigned regional office or team of Child Intervention Practitioners. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of various accounts payable transactions and responds to vendor and client inquiries. The Administrative Support is also responsible for maintenance of data related to children in care so that it is accurately received, entered, coded, maintained and filed into various information management systems. Office administration and general administrative supports can also be provided to support effective office operations.
This position covers any of the programs delivered in the region (child intervention – intake, assessment, ongoing case management, permanency, adoptions, supports for permanency, foster care facilities, kinship care facilities, childcare licensing). The incumbent works with multiple information management systems on a regular basis and maintains files and records.
