Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid, 1–2 days per week on-site)
Language: Bilingual in English and French, strong written and verbal communication required
Duration: Permanent

About the Opportunity

Our client, a respected organization in the non-profit and regulatory sector, is seeking a Bilingual Disability Case Management Advisor to join their People and Culture team. This role is central to delivering a compliant, compassionate, and employee-focused HR function that supports individuals through critical moments in their employment journey.

You will work closely with employees, leaders, and external partners to manage disability and leave programs, while helping shape inclusive policies and practices. Your work will directly impact employee wellbeing, ensuring thoughtful accommodation, seamless return-to-work planning, and alignment with evolving legislation across jurisdictions.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll manage the full lifecycle of employee leaves, including disability, parental, and job-protected leaves
  • You’ll guide employees and leaders through sensitive and complex leave and accommodation matters
  • You’ll collaborate with insurers and case managers to support effective disability claims administration
  • You’ll design and implement accommodation and return-to-work plans with key stakeholders
  • You’ll maintain accurate records and process transactions in Workday, ensuring compliance and data integrity
  • You’ll analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend program improvements
  • You’ll support onboarding initiatives and deliver compliance training across the organization

Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in disability case management and leave administration
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience working with disability insurance providers is an asset
  • Bilingual fluency in English and French, both written and spoken
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion
  • High attention to detail and experience working with HRIS systems, ideally Workday
