Are you looking to expand your impact in strategic sourcing and grow within a global organization where your recommendations directly influence business performance?

At Schneider Electric, the Indirect Procurement team plays a central role in controlling costs, managing risk, and continuously improving service levels. Indirect Procurement spend accounts for nearly one quarter of the company’s total revenue.

We are hiring a Canada Country Sourcing Leader to lead Strategic Sourcing across all indirect procurement categories in Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for executing category strategies that drive value, efficiency, and savings, while working closely with local stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform strategic sourcing activities for Indirect Procurement in support of Canada’s business priorities, achieving a minimum of 5% savings within the assigned scope and contributing directly to Schneider Electric’s financial performance.
  • Ensure alignment with regional and global category strategies and strategic vendors. Work closely with key Canadian stakeholders to identify and implement productivity actions aligned with national objectives.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Canada. Recommend improvements to optimize and reduce spend, and lead quarterly business reviews for the Indirect Procurement scope in Canada.

  • Prepare competitive bidding packages and launch RFI (Request for Information), RFQ (Request for Quotation) and RFP (Request for Proposal) using Schneider Electric tools. Negotiate effectively to secure best‑in‑class pricing and strong contracts (including Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs)) in collaboration with Legal.

  • Manage supplier performance by conducting business reviews, handling escalations, monitoring operational KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and driving continuous improvement to meet Schneider Electric objectives.

  • Deliver a high level of service to key stakeholder groups across Canadian business units, ensuring that procurement programs meet essential business needs.

  • Demonstrate proficiency with procurement tools (OTTO/iSave, PRISM, SSP‑SRM) and related processes.

  • Support key company initiatives, including payment term improvements, sustainability, cybersecurity, data privacy and ISO 26000 compliance.

What you bring

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with proven successes in developing and implementing sourcing strategies across various indirect and/or direct categories.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain solid relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, with excellent relationship‑management skills.
  • Strong project management, organization, teamwork and peer‑influence capabilities, with a strong customer focus.
  • Highly motivated, proactive self‑starter, with a drive for results, effective planning, prioritization and multi‑tasking abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or Operations from an accredited institution.
