Technical Project Engineer – Fabrication & Manufacturing Projects (PE Focus) Agilus is recruiting for a Project Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary, Alberta. A well established industrial fabrication organization is seeking a Project Engineer (PE) to support the technical execution of complex manufacturing projects. This role is highly engineering focused and supports Project Managers without owning project schedule or budget. Reporting directly to the VP, the Project Engineer ensures technical accuracy, quality documentation, and sound engineering decisions throughout the fabrication lifecycle. Total rewards: $110000.00 - $120000.00 annually Earn a base salary of $110K–$120K depending on experience Access higher compensation up to ~$130K for top tier candidates Participate in annual bonus programs similar to Project Managers Achieve total compensation of $140K–$150K in strong performance years Gain exposure to full project lifecycle engineering work Work in a technically driven, fabrication focused environment Report directly to senior leadership with high visibility Explore contract opportunities for qualified Project Engineers Responsibilities: Provide technical engineering support to Project Managers and internal teams Review fabrication drawings, manufacturing packages, and technical documentation Ensure engineering accuracy and compliance throughout fabrication activities Support multidisciplinary project requirements including site and installation considerations Respond to engineering queries from drafting and manufacturing teams Collaborate closely with drafting, quality, aftermarket, and production groups Contribute engineering expertise without responsibility for schedule or budget Maintain clear technical documentation and design records Requirements: Hold a degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline Bring 5–10 years of technical engineering experience in fabrication or manufacturing Demonstrate experience in oil and gas or similar industrial environments Show strong technical depth with hands on engineering problem solving Possess experience reviewing drawings and manufacturing documentation Work effectively with drafting, production, and quality teams Operate independently with minimal oversight Register or qualify for professional engineering status in Western Canada This posting is for an active opening.
