About the Opportunity

Join the Global Security Operations Center at Canadian Tire Corporation, where a dedicated team works around the clock to help protect people, assets, and operations across the country. The GSOC plays a critical role in coordinating emergency response, monitoring security systems, and supporting real time communication during incidents affecting corporate locations nationwide.

In this role, you will collaborate with Corporate Security professionals, site teams, contractors, and emergency responders to maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors. This is an opportunity to work in a fast paced operational setting where sound judgment, teamwork, and strong communication skills make a direct impact every day.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll respond to emergency and non emergency requests from internal teams, contractors, and law enforcement via phone, email, radio, and alarm monitoring systems.

  • In this role, you’ll coordinate subcontractors responding to alarms and security service requests across multiple locations.

  • You’ll perform routine health checks on security systems and ensure operational continuity across Canadian sites.

  • You’ll assist with the review and distribution of CCTV and access control data to support investigations and security reviews.

  • You’ll support access control programming, including employee access cards and system adjustments.

  • You’ll act as an escalation point for security concerns raised by sites or internal stakeholders.

  • You’ll prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly reports while supporting the consistent application of security policies and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a security operations centre or similar operational environment.

  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and remain calm in high pressure or emergency situations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, French considered an asset.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to generate operational reports efficiently.

  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with C•CURE access control systems and Avigilon CCTV platforms is considered an asset.

  • Ability to complete the EMO IMS 100 Ontario Incident Response course within the first 60 days.
