This position goes beyond traditional security - you’ll play an important role in supporting hospital staff and patients during critical moments.

 

Shift Schedule :

Full-time, Monday to Friday:  0700-1500 / 1500-2300 / 2300-0700

Responsibilities for Hospital Security Guard in Dryden

 

  • Respond to emergency situations including Code White (violent behavior), medical emergencies, and security threats until emergency services arrive
  • Use de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques to manage aggressive or distressed patients and visitors
  • Patrol hospital areas including emergency departments, restricted zones, and parking facilities
  • Control access to sensitive areas and ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter incidents and protect healthcare workers
  • Write clear and detailed daily reports and incident documentation
  • Support patients in distress, including those experiencing trauma or mental health crises

Qualifications for Hospital Security Guard in Dryden

 

  • ust be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Ability to pass Use of Force training
  • Ability to complete or pass Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
  • Previous experience in security or healthcare is an asset
