About the Opportunity

Our client, a respected organization in the commercial insurance sector, is seeking a Field Sales Specialist to join their growing team in the Greater Toronto Area. This is a relationship-driven, field-based role focused on building new commercial insurance business and developing long-term partnerships with business owners across the region.

In this role, you will spend the majority of your time meeting with local businesses, learning about their operations, and recommending insurance solutions that support their success. You will join a supportive sales environment that values initiative, relationship building, and long-term client partnerships while providing the tools and mentorship needed to grow a profitable book of business.

You will receive a base salary between $50,000 and $60,000, with guaranteed commission during your first six months and strong long-term earning potential. Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll prospect and develop new commercial insurance opportunities through networking, cold outreach, community engagement, and relationship building.

  • You’ll meet with business owners to understand their operations and recommend tailored insurance solutions.

  • You’ll build and grow your own commercial client portfolio while maintaining strong long-term relationships.

  • You’ll manage your sales pipeline and client activity using CRM tools.

  • You’ll conduct regular in-person client meetings and maintain a consistent field presence across your assigned territory.

  • You’ll participate in sales training, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.


Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of client-facing sales experience, ideally within insurance, financial services, or business-to-business sales.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop trust with business owners and decision makers.

  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial with a strong drive to achieve sales goals.

  • Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to identify client needs and present solutions.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the GTA.

  • OTL or RIBO insurance license preferred, with support available to obtain licensing if required.

  • Post-secondary education considered an asset.
