Language: Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken. Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset

Duration: 12-month contract

Background Check Requirement: Eligibility for Government of Canada Secret security clearance required

 

About the Opportunity

 

Altis Recruitment is partnering with a prominent public sector organization to support the hiring of a Financial Analyst for a critical ERP transformation initiative. In this role, you will play a key part in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365, supporting data migration, reconciliation, and system testing while ensuring financial accuracy and continuity during transition phases. Your work will directly impact how financial data is structured, reported, and leveraged across the organization.

 

You will collaborate with a team of experienced finance professionals and cross-functional stakeholders, helping to bridge technical accounting requirements with evolving business needs. Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll support the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365, including data migration, validation, and system testing.
  • In this role, you’ll perform reconciliations and assist with parallel reporting during system transition phases.
  • You’ll contribute to monthly close activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • You’ll prepare financial statement notes and supporting schedules for external reporting.
  • You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders to support evolving accounting policies and business requirements.
  • You’ll assist with audit preparation and respond to external auditor requests.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience.
  • CPA designation is required.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, revenue recognition, and internal controls.
  • Experience with ERP systems, with exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 considered an asset.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to manage change and work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
