Summary

Within the Bell Business Markets Finance group, the Financial Manager plays a critical role in financial oversight and reporting of the Lines of Business and Practice Areas. We are looking for a dynamic and responsible self-starter, who is detail-oriented and can work collaboratively with others. The candidate will monitor and evaluate financial performance by conducting financial analysis, project results, planning, and forecasting, and prepare and review consolidated management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare month end financial management reports for Finance and Business Executives.
  • Work closely with Finance and the Business to understand and evaluate key business trends and to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial results/metrics that incorporate the business story in the variance analysis
  • Actively participate in the forecasting and planning exercises, including key metrics.
  • Work with business partners to improve the gross margin trajectory.
  • Assist on ad-hoc projects and business case analysis for various strategic initiatives to drive improved profitability.
  • Liaise with the Finance, Deals, Sales & Consolidated Results teams.
  • Recommend, initiate and implement process improvements.

Critical Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role preferably with a professional designation or working towards a designation.
  • Results oriented - proven ability to provide strategic, analytical and critical insight.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong capacity to organize and synthesize large amounts of information to facilitate the decision-making process for the senior management team.
  • Constantly striving to improve deliverables - demonstrate flexibility and ingenuity to deliver results within tight deadlines, often in a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to successfully resolve issues, diagnose business problems and deliver solutions in timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization.
  • Advanced financial modeling techniques (Excel, Macros, Visual Basics, Tableau, Alteryx, MicroStrategy etc.) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of SAP, BI and BPC are preferred.
  • Flexible work schedule during month-end, forecast and planning cycles.

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
