Project Background
An organization is seeking a consultant to provide staff augmentation services in support of developing an AI-enabled Facilities Maintenance Assistant. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) team to design, build, and test an AI-driven application that assists with maintenance planning and operational decision-making by leveraging data from the organization’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement an Agentic AI architecture to support a facilities maintenance assistant solution

• Prepare, organize, and structure facilities and maintenance data for AI model use

• Develop an AI-powered assistant capable of supporting maintenance planning and providing recommendations

• Integrate the AI solution with the CMMS platform through APIs and related integration services

• Support testing activities, solution refinement, and technical documentation

Position Overview

• Demonstrated experience building AI or Generative AI applications

• Experience working with Agentic AI frameworks and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures

• Experience integrating applications with enterprise systems through APIs

• Experience with CMMS or facilities management systems is considered an asset

Role Responsibilities

• Contribute to or lead software development initiatives using a combination of traditional project management approaches and agile development practices

• Work closely with internal stakeholders and project sponsors to gather, clarify, and manage business and technical requirements

• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and solution planning activities

• Produce design documentation, solution proposals, and implementation estimates for new or enhanced systems

• Ensure development and support activities follow established methodologies and standards

Additional Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge or experience in data analysis

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is considered an asset
