Altis Recruitment is partnering with a leading organization in Canada’s financial technology and payments ecosystem to hire a Security Incident Management, Forensic Lead. This role sits within a highly skilled Cybersecurity Incident Management and Response team and plays a critical role in protecting the integrity of systems that support millions of secure digital transactions every day.
In this position, you will lead complex digital forensic investigations across host, cloud, network, and mobile environments. Working alongside cybersecurity analysts, threat intelligence specialists, and incident response leaders, you will transform technical evidence into actionable insights that help detect, contain, and prevent cyber threats.

You’ll lead advanced digital forensic investigations across operating systems, cloud platforms, networks, and endpoints.
In this role, you’ll perform deep security content analysis including malware analysis, network packet analysis, and user behaviour investigations.
You’ll support incident response by identifying threat actor activity such as command and control communications, lateral movement, and data exfiltration.
You’ll manage forensic evidence handling processes and ensure proper chain of custody during investigations.
You’ll mentor security analysts and provide expert guidance during complex cybersecurity incidents.
You’ll collaborate with threat intelligence and security monitoring teams to develop and refine detection use cases.
You’ll document investigative findings and translate technical insights into clear reports for technical and executive stakeholders.
5–7+ years of experience in digital forensics, cybersecurity investigations, or incident response.
Strong experience performing host, cloud, network, and mobile forensic analysis.
Hands-on experience with tools such as IDA Pro, Wireshark, NetWitness, X-Ways, EnCase, Magnet AXIOM, Velociraptor, or similar platforms.
Deep understanding of cybersecurity incident lifecycle, threat actor techniques, and forensic methodologies.
Strong knowledge of evidence handling, chain of custody procedures, and investigative best practices.
Ability to analyze complex technical data and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated environments is considered an asset.
