As part of Bell’s organization, you’ll work from India with teams in Canada and globally to support next‑generation networks, digital solutions, and advanced products that power our services and media platforms.

 

This role is based in India and is intended for a Canadian‑based expat, offering hands‑on global exposure while working closely with Bell Canada finance and technology teams.

 

Role Overview

The Vice President, Finance – Global Technology Centres India (GTC) serves as the senior finance leader and primary point of accountability for all finance, tax, governance, and compliance functions.  This executive role oversees end-to-end financial operations, ensuring strong internal controls, accurate reporting, statutory compliance, and seamless integration with Bell Canada Finance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management, Planning & Reporting

Lead preparation and review of monthly financial statements, flash reports, and management reporting.
Own the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting in coordination with Bell Finance.
Perform and review forecast‑to‑actual variance analysis, providing clear explanations and insights.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial deliverables.
Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity planning and funding requirements

Accounting Operations & Close

Oversee month‑end and year‑end close, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, lease accounting (ROU), payroll accounting, and expense reimbursements.
Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and ensure general ledger integrity.
Ensure compliance with Bell accounting policies and local statutory requirements.

Legal, Tax, Statutory & Regulatory Oversight

Provide leadership over direct and indirect tax compliance.
Coordinate with external advisors and auditors for statutory filings and regulatory submissions.
Monitor emerging regulatory risks and maintain strong compliance frameworks.
Work closely with Legal Counsel to manage legal matters and ensure timely, accurate guidance to management.

Intercompany, Audit, Controls & Statutory Compliance

Oversee execution of direct and indirect tax compliance and statutory filings.
Coordinate with external advisors for tax filings, audits, and regulatory submissions.
Manage intercompany financial processes between GTC and Bell Canada, including chargebacks, offshore cost allocations, FX application, and reconciliations.
Act as the primary finance contact for internal and external audits and ensure internal controls documentation is maintained and updated.

Critical Qualifications

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA or equivalent).
  • Willingness and ability to work as an expatriate based in India, collaborating daily with teams in Canada and globally.
  • Strong experience across financial reporting and close, accounting operations, FP&A (budgeting and forecasting), and tax/statutory compliance.
  • Hands‑on experience with month‑end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Practical exposure to intercompany accounting and chargeback models.
  • Experience coordinating audits and working with external advisors.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in global delivery centres or large organizations.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience coordinating or managing small to mid‑sized finance teams.
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures.

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
