The Procurement Compliance and Risk Officer is responsible for ensuring that all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. This role involves developing and implementing a global compliance roadmap and strategy, managing end-to-end risk across the procurement and supply chain lifecycle, overseeing the procurement aspects of mergers and acquisitions, and collaborating closely with the sustainability team.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. Develop and enforce compliance policies and procedures.
Compliance Roadmap and Global Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance roadmap and global strategy to ensure consistent and effective compliance practices across all regions.
End-to-End Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks across the entire procurement and supply chain lifecycle. Implement risk management frameworks and processes to ensure continuity and resilience.
Supplier Management: Oversee vendor compliance through the onboarding process, ensuring compliance with all policy, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Influence and educate stakeholders on procurement policies, procedures, and compliance practices. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve the efficiency and value of the procurement function through compliance and risk management measures.
Audit and Reporting: Conduct regular audits and prepare compliance reports for senior management. Ensure transparency and accountability in procurement activities.
Training and Development: Provide training to procurement staff on compliance, risk management, and best practices.
Mergers and Acquisitions: Manage the procurement aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, integration, and alignment with company policies and compliance standards.
Technology Utilization: Leverage procurement technology and tools to streamline processes, simplify data collection and improve on risk visibility and mitigation activities.
Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of procurement compliance and risk management processes.
ESG Collaboration: Work closely with the ESG team to ensure procurement practices align with the company’s environmental, social, and governance goals.
Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate on sustainability initiatives and ensure suppliers adhere to ESG standards.
Reporting: Contribute to ESG reporting by providing relevant procurement data and insights and coordinate response.
Risk Mitigation: Partner with the ESG team to identify and mitigate ESG-related risks in the supply chain.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, compliance, or risk management roles.
Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
Strong understanding of procurement processes and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Strong project management skills.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all compliance and risk management activities.
Integrity: Upholding the highest standards of ethical behavior in procurement practices.
Adaptability: Ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement in compliance and risk management processes.
