Job Posting: Security Officer, Saint John, NB

Commissionaires NB&PEI Division is looking to hire responsible team members for Security Officer roles in Saint John, NB.

Hours: 8 to 12 hour rotating shifts, 24/7, with day, evening, night and weekend availability

The Role: The Security Officer will be responsible to enforce established rules and regulations to ensure the protection of people, property, and information. Assigned duties include a combination of static and roving patrols.

Requirements:

• Physically fit to perform interior and exterior rounds (including stairs) - stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time and to respond to emergency situations
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A positive, proactive, problem-solving approach to tasks
• Customer service experience
• Ability to obtain Security Clearances
• Valid class 5 Driver’s License
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the workplace

The successful candidate must be able to:

• Maintain high levels of confidentiality
• Demonstrate sound judgement in addressing conflict situations
• Respond to emergency situations and help others
