About the Opportunity

Our client, a respected organization in the financial regulatory sector, is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join their Finance team. This team plays a critical role in ensuring strong financial stewardship, strategic resource allocation, and effective financial reporting.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with finance leaders, auditors, and cross-functional teams to support financial reporting, system enhancements, and process improvements. You will be part of a collaborative environment that values transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities
  • You’ll support the financial information system by assisting with process mapping, reporting tools, and automation of financial data integrations.
  • In this role, you’ll contribute to Workday Finance enhancements and support system development that impacts financial reporting and cash management.
  • You’ll oversee key financial processing activities, including reviewing AR batches, approving invoices, and providing guidance to AR and AP team members.
  • You’ll support month-end activities by preparing journal entries, conducting variance analysis, and helping produce preliminary financial reports.
  • You’ll collaborate with auditors and internal stakeholders during year-end processes, including reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  • You’ll contribute to cross-functional projects that improve financial processes, develop reporting tools, and support training for new systems and workflows.
Skills and Qualifications
  • CPA designation required
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial analysis
  • Strong hands-on experience with financial reporting, variance analysis, and preparation of financial statements under IFRS
  • Demonstrated experience working with financial information systems, Workday experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with modern finance technologies or SaaS tools
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with auditors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organization, analytical thinking, and ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
