Purpose

 

Contributes to the overall success of the Canadian Data Platforms team in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • Supports and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationship with peers within the business unit and with business partners
  • Ability to contribute in Agile environments with understanding of its methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and its tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, privacy and compliance
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. 
  • Provide technical analyses and recommendations in terms of new solutions and supporting existing ones, with a focus on creating robust and reusable solutions.
  • Delivers quality deliverables (analysis, documentation, code, test documentation)
  • Create and maintain documentation, such as best practices documents.
  • Develop and support automation to help regression testing of existing code
  • Perform manual QA validation as required
