About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Category Business Analyst to join reputable retail client’s buying team. In this role, you will analyze product and category performance, maintain product data accuracy, and provide actionable insights to support category strategy and financial objectives. You will collaborate closely with Category Business Managers, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Vendors to ensure smooth execution of seasonal programs, promotions, and assortment planning.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyze new and existing product lines to support category strategy and financial goals.
• Manage and maintain product data accuracy across systems (pricing, attributes, descriptions, images).
• Support line reviews, promotions, and seasonal programs through detailed analysis.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and insights that inform category decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet execution timelines and deliverables.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency in category workflows.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and actionable insights.

Skills and Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Retail Management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills (Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required).
• Retail, merchandising, or category analysis experience is an asset (new graduates welcome).
