Compensation: $110,000 – $120,000 plus comprehensive benefits

Our client, a well-established organization operating within a regulated infrastructure and public services environment, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their finance leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role plays a key part in maintaining financial stability, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting long-term financial strategy.
This is a collaborative and visible role where you will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to guide budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The Controller also plays a central role in strengthening internal controls, supporting the annual audit process, and helping evolve finance systems and processes as the organization continues to grow and modernize.

• Exposure to finance transformation initiatives, including system and process improvements
• You’ll oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across the organization.
• In this role, you’ll manage the general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals to maintain accurate financial records.
• You’ll lead budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with leadership to develop annual budgets and financial plans.
• You’ll strengthen internal controls and financial governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting, including tax and statutory remittances.
• You’ll coordinate the annual audit process and act as the key liaison with external auditors and stakeholders.
• You’ll support and mentor finance team members while promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibility within a corporate finance environment
• CPA designation required
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls under GAAP principles
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting or financial systems such as QuickBooks or similar platforms
• Proven ability to manage audits, regulatory reporting, and financial compliance requirements
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with senior leadership
