Key Accountabilities
Present to and work with executive stakeholders to identify business requirements, understand distinct problems and expected outcomes, and frame business scenarios which impact critical business processes and/or decisions.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with various data owners to discover and select available data from internal sources and external vendors (e.g. lending system, payment system, external credit rating system, and alternative data) to fulfill analytical needs.
Design, develop, and execute complex data queries (e.g., using SAS) to extract, transform, and analyze data, and create compelling visualizations that articulate insights and drive decision‑making
Develop and deliver of monthly performance reporting, dashboards, and analytical deep dives to highlight trends, uncover opportunities, and inform strategic initiatives that enhance business performance.
Apply strong analytical thinking to translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical questions, synthesize data findings, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations
Communicate complex analytical concepts to diverse audiences through well‑crafted presentations and storytelling, leveraging data visualization and PowerPoint to influence stakeholders and guide strategic priorities.
Drive adherence to data governance standards by ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security across all analytical processes, and establish robust documentation practices—including data dictionaries, methodology summaries, and model/rule documentation—to support transparency, audit readiness, and long‑term scalability.
The Senior Manager, Canada Collections Data Analytics leads the development of insights that drive strategic decision‑making across the organization. This role partners with executives to define analytical needs, translates business challenges into data‑driven solutions, and oversees performance reporting and dashboards that highlight trends and opportunities. The leader collaborates across teams to integrate and govern data from multiple internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong documentation practices. This role has expertise in advanced analytics and data storytelling and delivers clear, actionable insights that influence key strategies and enhance overall business performance.
Design and build dashboards using effective data extraction, cleaning, and visualization techniques to support business decision‑making
Deliver actionable insights through high‑quality reports and data visualizations, and implement analytics solutions that are scalable and repeatable.
Continuously improve data visualization practices by identifying trends and converting complex data into meaningful business insights.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders to enhance the usability, accessibility, and visual appeal of analytics products.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and assess current visualization tools to recommend improvements.
Develop clear, intuitive visualizations for large and complex datasets that support leadership in making informed decisions.
Document data processes, systems, and workflows to support ongoing optimization and operational efficiency.
Create tools and deliver training to empower non‑technical users to leverage reporting and self‑serve analytics solutions.
Promote organizational values, contributing to a culture of inclusion and alignment with company purpose and strategy.
Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to leadership and stakeholders across the organization.
Apply creative and analytical thinking to solve complex, ambiguous problems and adapt to changing business needs.
Ensure risk‑aware decision‑making in alignment with the organization’s risk management framework, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Perform other related responsibilities as needed to support business objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative fields. Master’s Degree preferred
7+ years of experience in analytics (ideally scorecard development / monitoring, customer segmentation, Credit Risk, Marketing or Collection).
Experience in statistical analysis, data cleansing / transformation, regression, time series, champion/challenger A/B testing, and decision tree modeling.
Proficiency with SAS and SQL.
Experience with Data Visualization tools such as PowerBI
