OSS Terminal Patroller – Transportation (Full-Time)

Location: Calgary International Airport (YYC)

Commissionaires Southern Alberta is hiring Terminal Patrollers to support security operations at the Calgary International Airport. In this high‑profile role, you will help maintain the integrity of the Primary Security Line and ensure the secure, smooth flow of airport operations.


About the Role

As a Terminal Patrol Officer, you will play a key part in maintaining safety and security throughout the Air Terminal Building. Your responsibilities include:

  • Conducting continuous foot patrols throughout the terminal, curbside areas, and parkades
  • Monitoring for suspicious behaviour and responding to alarms
  • Escorting emergency responders as needed
  • Assisting travellers in a busy, dynamic environment
  • Supporting Primary Security Line monitoring
  • Conducting Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) when required
  • Documenting patrol activities using digital reporting tools

This role operates in a 24/7/365 environment, requiring flexibility and comfort working day and night shifts on a regular rotation.


What We’re Looking For

We are seeking reliable, alert, and professional individuals who take pride in maintaining public safety. Candidates must have:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Alberta Security Licence
  • Transportation Security Clearance (required)
  • Valid Emergency or Standard First Aid certification
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • High level of radio proficiency
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for long periods
  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Working Environment

  • Full-time position with 24/7 shift coverage
  • Regular rotation of both day and night shifts
  • Extensive foot patrols in terminal, curb, and parkade areas
  • Fast‑paced, highly regulated aviation environment requiring strong situational awareness and calm decision-making
