About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing private sector organization in the Information Technology industry, is seeking a senior leader to build and drive its government funding and public sector program strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in securing municipal, provincial, federal, and international funding that fuels innovation, expansion, and digital transformation initiatives.

This is a strategic individual contributor role with enterprise-wide impact. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, technical teams, sales, and finance to translate complex IT solutions into compelling, compliant funding applications and procurement submissions that unlock new opportunities and drive measurable growth.

What’s In It for You

You will have the autonomy to shape and scale a critical function from the ground up. This is an opportunity to influence strategic direction while working alongside visionary leaders in a high-growth technology environment.

Expect a culture that values innovation, accountability, and collaboration. You will gain exposure to global funding ecosystems, public sector markets, and executive decision-making, all within a workplace that encourages initiative and forward-thinking ideas.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead the development and execution of a comprehensive government and international funding strategy aligned with company growth goals.
  • In this role, you’ll identify and pursue relevant municipal, provincial, federal, and global grant opportunities within IT, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and digital transformation.
  • You’ll prepare, write, and submit compelling grant applications and manage post-award compliance, reporting, and audit readiness.
  • You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to support public sector RFPs, ensuring submissions are compliant, competitive, and strategically positioned.
  • You’ll build and maintain relationships with funding agencies, innovation hubs, and public sector stakeholders to expand opportunity pipelines.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in grant writing, funding acquisition, or public sector procurement within the IT or technology sector.
  • Demonstrated success securing government or international funding for technology initiatives.
  • Experience supporting public sector RFP and procurement submissions.
  • Strong understanding of government funding frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and documentation skills.
  • Proven ability to operate independently while building scalable processes.

Note from the Hiring Manager

“We’re looking for someone who sees funding not just as financial support, but as a strategic lever for growth. If you’re proactive, detail-oriented, and excited to help scale a high-impact function, we’d love to meet you.”
