About the Opportunity
Our client in the post-secondary education sector is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support modern collaboration and enterprise content management initiatives. This role will help transform how teams collaborate and manage information by enabling tools such as SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive across the organization.

Working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams, you will help analyze current collaboration processes and guide the transition from legacy shared drives into structured and modern M365 environments. This position will play an important role in ensuring business needs are translated into clear requirements that support effective content management, governance, and collaboration.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll gather and document business requirements related to collaboration tools and enterprise content management within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

  • In this role, you’ll analyze current business processes and help design improved workflows using SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.

  • You’ll support content migration planning from legacy shared drives into structured SharePoint environments, including site architecture and permissions mapping.

  • You’ll collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements aligned with Waterfall project methodologies.

  • You’ll assist with testing coordination, post-migration validation, and documentation to ensure successful implementation and adoption of collaboration solutions.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst working on data reporting or data warehouse projects using Waterfall methodologies.

  • Strong experience with SharePoint Online including site collections, document libraries, metadata, permissions, and information architecture.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

  • Experience with Power Platform tools including Power Automate workflows and Power BI reporting and dashboards.

  • Strong business analysis skills including requirements elicitation, business process mapping, and structured documentation aligned with IIBA or BABOK frameworks.

  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
