About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a Deltek Implementation Specialist to lead a critical system transition from Deltek Vision to Vantagepoint for an Engineering services firm. This newly created role is ideal for someone with deep systems expertise who can configure workflows, optimize processes, and ensure a smooth adoption of the platform. You’ll work closely with leadership and internal teams, guiding them through the transition while acting as the go-to expert on Vantagepoint functionality.

 

This role offers high visibility across the organization. You’ll lead training sessions, manage change management initiatives, and liaise directly with Deltek vendor teams. For the right candidate, this opportunity provides the chance to shape processes, streamline operations, and make a lasting impact on a finance and accounting team that is eager to leverage technology effectively.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead the transition from Deltek Vision to Deltek Vantagepoint, managing system rollout and adoption.
  • You’ll facilitate training sessions and change management initiatives to ensure teams are confident with new workflows.
  • You’ll act as the primary liaison between internal leadership and Deltek vendor teams, providing guidance and technical expertise.
  • You’ll support finance and accounting teams with project accounting processes and potential involvement in financial reporting or audits as needed.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of experience in finance systems implementation; slightly less considered with strong Vantagepoint exposure
  • Direct experience implementing Deltek Vantagepoint and transitioning from Deltek Vision
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident leading discussions with senior stakeholders
  • Proactive and independent, able to guide teams through organizational change
  • Accounting or finance background is an asset, as is experience in project accounting or professional services environments
